Production Planner / SchedulerWe are currently seeking an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler for a 9 to 12 month assignment with a manufacturing facility in Norwalk, OH. This position will support production planning and scheduling activities to help ensure customer demand, inventory goals and plant capacity are aligned. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a manufacturing environment with production scheduling, material planning, inventory control or supply chain operations.Responsibilities include:Creating, updating and communicating daily production schedulesIssuing, modifying and closing production ordersSupporting monthly production planning based on plant capacity and customer forecastsMonitoring inventory levels and assisting with inventory targetsIdentifying material shortages, scheduling concerns and potential production constraintsWorking closely with production, customer service, finance and management teamsSupporting customer portals and addressing shortages, receiving discrepancies and other customer requirementsAssisting with freight, container management and related documentationUpdating daily KPIs and production informationSupporting physical inventory activitiesEnsuring new parts and production information are accurately entered into SAP and applicable customer systemsPreferred Qualifications:Previous production planning, production scheduling, materials planning or supply chain experienceManufacturing experience strongly preferred1 to 2 years of related supply chain experience preferredExperience with SAP or another ERP systemStrong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skillsExperience with EDI or customer portals is helpfulStrong communication, organization and problem solving skillsAbility to manage changing priorities and work with multiple departmentsBachelor’s degree in materials, logistics, manufacturing or a related field is preferred but not requiredSchedule:Full timeMonday through FridayCompensation:$61,000 annuallyAssignment Length:This is a temporary 9 to 12 month assignment.If you have experience keeping production schedules on track, coordinating materials and inventory, and working across departments in a fast paced manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply.About Cardinal StaffingAt Cardinal Staffing, a Surestaff Company, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
